Slow•o•lution Nominated for the Liebster Award

Slow·o·lution has been nominated for the Liebster Award by this year's winner Life of Plenty. For those of you that are not familiar with the The Liebster Award, it recognizes new bloggers who have made an impact in the blogging community in a very short period time. I am extremely grateful for this nomination, and want to take the opportunity to thank Life of Plenty - a rural lifestyle blog focused on the simple lifestyle. Here you can find a lot of tips on gardening and many yummy recipes.

With this nomination I have to share 10 random facts about me, so here we go:

  • I love going to rock concerts......who would have guessed;)
  • I love traveling to new places
  • I always thought that cooking is not for me.....meanwhile I love it
  • I love ice cream and chocolate......always on the lookout for healthy options
  • not a big fan of winter
  • fascinated by photography
  • huge "Friends" fan......who isn't;)
  • big fan of starting my day bright and early
  • love spending time in nature and in the mountains
  • I find a lot of inspiration in reading other bloggers posts and blogs

So I want to take the opportunity and share one of my favorite blogs so far. It is a blog by Wholesome Stef, and it talks about her struggles with eating disorder. It is a 3 part blog, and I love it because it is extremely personal - Stef talks about how it all started, her anorexic phase, followed by bulimia phase, what was her wake up call, and how she managed to recover. Luckily I have never had to deal with an eating disorder, but I can imagine that it is not easy to open up about something so personal, let alone to share it with the world.....in such a detail manner. I personally feel that in today's society, body image plays a huge role......I am not sure whether putting so much emphasis on how our body and look is necessarily very healthy for young girls and women. So I am extremely impressed that there are people like Stef that use the blogger platform to raise awareness of these issues, help others, and ultimately educate people on what it means to take care of your body and mind, and what it means to be leading a healthy lifestyle. So, go check out the blog and share it with anyone that might need help and support.

The great part about the Liebster Award is that you get to support and raise awareness of other new and upcoming bloggers. So, now it is my turn to nominate bloggers that  have inspire me on different levels......make sure you go and check out their pages:

Big Tiny Steps - I think that it is always more inspiring to read from people that have been through stuff in their live, and are sharing the experience. Here you can find tips on clean eating, many delicious recipes, as well as different ideas and tips on how to be mindful in your everyday reality.

Wholesome Stef - I have been inspired by Stef on so many levels, but probably the biggest is to have the courage to use her eating disorder experience, and not only share it with the rest of the world, but also help others in understanding what a healthy lifestyle and loving your body truly means.

Easy Healthy Smoothie - I am a huge smoothie fan, and I love the variety of smoothie recipes they are offering, as well as the deep knowledge that they have on the subject.

Wholly Happy Life - This blog is a great combination of everything you need in order to lead a healthy life, which means taking care of your body, soul and mind.

Goodbye Corporate, Hello Freedom - so many of us feel stuck in the corporate world, or a job that we are far from being passionate about. This blog helps you turn your passion into your business - a lot of great ideas, tips, and trainings available

Of course with every nomination there are some rules, so if you do accept the nomination, make sure you check the rules here.

Once again thanks so much Life of Plenty for the nomination....truly appreciated:)

Stay healthy,

Anna
